The music out there are very catchy and the beat are very ongoing. However the words don't have any meaning too it. Take for example the song called "My chick"; makes no sense but am not lieing the beat honestly got me going like every time i hear it. Speaking from the older folks songs today is all about "Guns, Hustling, Sex, and Fighting.
Take some time to wonder what image does our children will have from these type of lyrics; cause the song stars are the type of people our children look up to. And even tho they try to stay away from the music; they hear it all around like : at a friends place, on the way to school, on their ipod, even in the supermarkets, etc...... I personally find my self singing the song and running to turn up the volume of the radio.
The last inspiration song i head was "Brenda got a baby by: 2pac". This song display the truth about teen sex and how leaving the Hood affect. Songs like these may help one to relate to the realty of life and what one may look out for in time to come.
In closing Music should have Feelings, Life, Heart, Soul, A sense of time, Passion, Hope and Direction.
